Donate Equipment

We’re always looking for equipment for our players! As long as it is still functional (please, toss your own badly damaged or beyond-repair equipment), we can likely put it to use.

You can drop it off at one of our practices (typically at the Ice Plex – check our calendar) or contact equipment@trianglespecialhockey.org to make other arrangements.

Youth teams – we’d love to receive items from equipment drives!

Fundraise for us!

Do you/your team need to do a service project? We’d be happy to work with you to set up and easy way for you to do a peer-to-peer fundraiser, and do all the tracking for you!

See our list of ongoing fundraisers HERE.

Much of what we raise goes to pay for ice time. We appreciate everyone’s support!

Play Street/Ball Hockey

No skating – just hockey!!!

Start Anytime

We welcome anyone age 6 and up who can stand and is willing to give skating a try to join us!

No Skates! Just Hockey

Just wear athletic shoes and come prepared to have fun playing hockey without having to worry about skating.

Minimal Equipment

For street/ball hockey, you’ll just need a helmet, gloves and a stick. We also recommend shin guards of some kind – either hockey or soccer will do!

Make Friends

You’ll get to meet others who love the game of hockey! Many long-term friendships have been built through our program.

Programs for Everyone

If you love hockey, but aren’t so interested in the ice skating part, street/ball hockey may be for you!

From your very first time out, you’ll be playing hockey! A ball hockey game is almost the same as an ice hockey game – without skates, and with a ball instead of a puck.

The ball bounces just a little differently that a puck, but the rest of the game is much the same. You’ll still get to pass, learn positioning, and shoot on a goalie!

How to get started

All athletes, coaches and mentors MUST be registered with the American Special Hockey Association (ASHA) before participating in a practice with Triangle Special Hockey. ASHA is the organization to which we belong that provides our insurance.

Step 1: Let us know you are interested

Fill out the form below to let us know you are interested!

Step 2: Register with American Special Hockey Association (ASHA)

Everyone who plays or volunteers with TSHA must register for ASHA. Those over 18 years old also need to complete SafeSport Act Compliance.

Begin the ASHA registration process – OUR TEAM IS CAT5CANES.

Step 3: Pay your Season Registration Fee (or request relief)

To help us provide an EXCEPTIONAL experience for all of our athletes, coaches, mentors and volunteers, we ask that each athlete pay a $35 season registration fee.

If this proves to be a hardship for you, pleaseĀ email us! We do not want this to be an obstacle to participation for anyone.
